Present Places
Closer look at my photography exhibition with darkroom prints.
“Already Giacomo Leopardi noticed that there are certain places in the countryside where the most birds usually gather and where they sing constantly and passionately. There are places on earth that seem to be prepared for the appearance of beautiful and good spirits, and on the other hand, there are others where even an animal’s fur stands on end and trembles with terror.” This is how the short story “Greetings from Tasov” by the leading Czech writer Jakub Deml begins. Indeed, there are such places where it is a joy to rest, exhale and blend in with the surroundings in a sense of safety. You can then fully experience the space, and above all perceive yourself. They are present places.” - text from Lukáš Bártl
